In addition to being a musician, Byron Nash was once a well-known bartender. His service industry career led him to appear as a collaborator for Fresh Fest (now Barrel & Flow Fest) where he partnered with Helltown Brewing for a collaborative beer creation.
The beverage —BLQ METAL IPA — was intended to be a one-time promotion. Instead, Nash’s relationship with Helltown organically deepened into a friendship and official partnership, leading to the yearly release (and sell-out) of this crowd-pleasing, light IPA.
BLQ METAL cans adorn a Pittsburgh-made label embodying Nash’s deep roots in heavy metal, sticking to your guns, and being inspired by art. The beer also has a sold-out t-shirt line with patrons wearing the shirt worldwide from Pittsburgh to LA to London.
